The Oxford speakers club has been established for 50 years. This year we will celebrating our Golden Jubilee.
Oxford Speakers Club has a long, interesting and illustrious history, being the second oldest club in the whole of the United Kingdom, and we are celebrating the Club’s anniversary in true
Toastmaster’s style!
There will a series of celebratry events inluding an Anniversary Dinner and a special Anniversary meeting.
We are delighted to welcome as our guests of honour Theresa Dukes, District 71 Governor, and the Lord Mayor of Oxford, together with the Lady Mayoress; and we hope that many of our past members, fellow Toastmasters from other Oxford and Area 7 clubs, and from further afield will gather to help us make this a memorable evening. It will be a great opportunity to meet old friends, and make new ones.
The venue will be The Oxford Centre, 333 Banbury Road, Oxford, OX2 7PL, on March 19th at 7pm for 7.30.
We would like to invite current, recent and long lost past members of the Club; Toastmasters from our sister clubs far and wide, and guests, to join us and take part in a celebratory meeting! If you would like to take a role, and particularly if you would like to present a speech at this meeting, please contact me. We will include all the normal elements; Table Topics, Speeches and Evaluations, demonstrating the wealth of skills that new and old members have gained though Toastmasters, bringing together the past, the present and the future, of OXFORD SPEAKERS CLUB
